Bangladesh wants to get 5 million vaccines from Russia.

Bangladesh is keen to import five million coronavirus vaccines ‘Sputnik 5’ from Russia, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said. The foreign minister made the remarks during a meeting with Russia’s outgoing ambassador Alexander Ignatov on Sunday (June 8th).
AK Momen said he sought the cooperation of the outgoing ambassador in importing vaccines in a hurry. He told the ambassador that if approved, some Bangladeshi companies would be able to jointly produce vaccines with Russia.
The Foreign Minister thanked Russia for its contribution to the development of Bangladesh and its cooperation in various mega projects. He recalled with gratitude Russia’s cooperation during the liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971.
