Beja and six organization’s Signed land lease agreement.

Six companies have signed land lease agreements with the Economic Zones Authority (BEZA).
The companies are state-owned Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) and Transformed Natural Gas Company Limited (RPGCL),
and private investors Maf Suz Limited, Simon Beach Resort Limited, Unitex Spinning Limited, and others.
The agreements were signed at the Beja headquarters in the capital on Monday (June 21) afternoon.
Bejar Executive Chairman Pawan Chowdhury presided over the function. As per the agreement, GTCL will build a gas transmission pipeline on 13.6 acres of land in the Maheshkhali Economic Zone (Dhalghata) in Cox’s Bazar.
RPGCL will build two FSRU sub-C pipelines and a platform in-tie-in point on 4.409 acres of land in the same economic zone.
Simon Beach Resort Limited will build a hotel and resort in Bangabandhu Industrial City with an investment of US 29.75 million on 6 acres of land.
It will create employment for about 450 people. Unitex Spinning Limited has leased 20 acres of land in Mirsarai. They will build a synthetic fiber and paint industry there with an investment of ৭ 6.75 million. It will employ 1,055 people.
And Step Media Limited will invest 9.63 million in the Jamalpur Economic Zone. The company has leased 8 acres of land. They will build the PVC flex banner manufacturing industry. It will create employment for hundreds of people.
