International Investment Summit 2021 start in Dhaka on Sunday

The two-day International Investment Summit 2021 begins in the capital on Sunday to brand new Bangladesh among the investors of the world.

The major theme of the summit is to brand the new Bangladesh among investors from around the world, said Salman Fazlur Rahman, the prime minister’s private sector development and investment adviser.

Bangladesh Prime minister will officially open  the curtain of the two-day investment summit hosted by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) tomorrow at 10am at Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka.

Salman F Rahman said, Bangladesh is receiving increasing interest from investors from a growing group of countries that are potential sources of investments, and the results of this should be reflected in the coming years.

He said investors from Scandinavian countries, for example, are expressing their interest in Bangladesh. BIDA executive chairman, Md Sirazul Islam, said around 2,574 attendees have already been registered to attend the 2021 International Investment Summit, while at least 465 of them are foreigners who will represent their countries or international investment companies.

A large number of delegates are already in Dhaka and more are arriving. The Saudi Arabian transport and logistics minister, the deputy minister of his investment ministry and a high-level business delegation are participating in the summit.

The summit with the theme “Bangladesh: Discover Unlimited Opportunities”, will have 14 separate sessions, of which 11 will be dedicated to different sectors including blue economy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, transport and logistics, capital markets, energy and energy, industrial room . revolution, financial services, agribusiness, leather and leather goods, clothing, electrical and electronic manufacturing.
