Several people, including environmental organizations, were vocal about cutting down several trees during the implementation of the project. The High Court has asked the court to stop cutting down trees for the time being.

Minister Mozammel Haque said, “60 to 70 trees have to be cut down in Suhrawardy Udyan, and a maximum of 10 trees may have to be cut down. “But I will plant a lot of trees there. If there is a loss of 100 tons of oxygen, we will provide 500 tons. ” He said that some measures have to be taken in the project to make it attractive to the people. There will be arrangements for those who come here to buy something to eat after staying for 6/7 hours. ”

The minister said ” but I will plant many trees there. If there is a loss of 100 tons of oxygen, we will provide 500 tons. ”
